Tuscarora Intermediate Unit Instructional Designer-PT in Lewistown, Pennsylvania

TIU 11 invites applications for a part-time Instructional Designer to develop online modules using Storyline, as well as electronic and print materials that meet Section 508 Accessibility Guidelines, and courses in our learning management system. Role Relationships The Instructional Designer for the TIU CEWS shall be directly responsible to the CEWS Director, Manager and/or supervisor for supervision and evaluation. Fundamental Duties/Essential Functions 1. Develop instructional design plans for professional development offerings by working with a subject-matter expert. 2. Revise instructional design plans to add engaging activities and ensure that objectives, instruction, and assessment are in alignment. 3. Develop print-based and online materials for professional development offerings. 4. Record and edit video and audio. 5. Enter professional development offerings into an online platform such as a Learning Management System (LMS) or website. 6. Develop and use evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of professional development offerings. 7. Analyze evaluation data to determine areas for program improvement and strengths. 8. Train others in use of the LMS. 9. Revise existing professional development offerings in consultation with subject-matter experts to meet participant needs and course objectives. 10. Deliver professional development to the adult education field face-to-face and using webinar software or other online tools. 11. Provide technical assistance to the adult education field in use of online professional development tools and technology. 12. Travel, as determined by supervisors for onsite meetings and trainings. 13. Complete any and all reports requested by TIU and the Department of Education. 14. Other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Ability to deliver professional development in online and/or face-to-face settings. 15. Knowledge of learning management system technologies, online course development tools, website development, and audio and video editing software. 16. Ability to communication with, instruct, and provide technical assistance to others face-to-face or at a distance. 17. Ability to transport materials and technologies as required for on-site presentations and training sessions. 18. Willingness to travel and provide technic l support at various hours including evenings and weekends as required. 19. Ability to provide personal, reliable vehicle for own travel requirements. 20. Ability to orally communicate well in English using the technology, email, instant messaging, webinars, and any other technologies in all personal contacts with office staff, consultants, and project participants. 21. Ability to present ideas logically in writing including accurately proofreading, spelling, and written grammar skills. 22. Ability to perform with efficiencies and a high level of accuracy in all office procedures.

Qualification Standards 1. Education: Possess minimum Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred. 2. Experience: Prior experience with online course development tools and learning management system technologies. Prior experience developing curriculum-design. Prior experience designing instruction for face-to-face and online delivery. Prior experience conducting staff development activities for educators.
