Shire Sr. Maintenance Planner / MRO Specialist in Lexington, Massachusetts

Primary Role:

Individual is responsible for managing the operations of all MRO activities required for effective maintenance planning at Shire Lexington. This role is tasked with overseeing inventory improvements, monitoring inventory metrics and performing inventory analysis. Utilizing leadership skills, this role will influence daily operations and workload through inventory activities. This individual will also play a key role as the MRO Lead in our CMMS work streams. This includes ensuring that all parts required for GMP maintenance activities are properly listed, planned for and kitted in a timely manner to ensure no impact to operations.



Manage contractual staff and provide guidance to optimize operational efficiencies and effectiveness


Manage all parts activities needed required for maintenance


Manage all Standard Operating Procedures


Other related duties as assigned by manager

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Managerial experience, leadership capability

  • Experience with working in maintenance/engineering organization

  • Biotech / pharmaceutical/ medical device or petrochemical company experience preferred

Other Job Requirements:

Ability to travel between all Shire HGT sites as required

Ability to carry a cellular phone device
