Libertyville, IL - Onsite
Position Summary: To translate individual department needs into IT
development specifications. Collaborate with department users to
clarify, confirm, and document requirements. These requirements will be
used by internal or vendor programming personnel as a vehicle to design
and develop enhancements. Project management involvement with portfolio
acquisitions and systems conversions are included. Some international
travel is a possibility.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
- Understanding user needs, determining scope and boundaries of
projects, and recommending prioritization of projects based on
cost/benefit analysis.
- Converting business operations requirements into project requirement
documents used for developing system enhancements.
- Coordinating with department users to confirm needs and then
communicating those to information systems personnel.
- Provides project management support to facilitate smooth integration
of operational and financial systems functionality.
- Assists in development, unit testing, regression testing, functional
testing, and User Acceptance Testing for high priority projects or
enhancements to internal systems.
- Works closely with business units to identify and document existing
usage of various databases to achieve common usage and
functionality, for planned database consolidations.
- Interfaces with vendors and business units on financial systems
upgrades.
- Develops ad hoc reports as needed to support business user reporting
needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 4 Year degree - BS or BA. Prefer business-related or applicable
majors.
- General accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting
principles.
- 2-4 years of experience as BA at a fully automated, full-service
financial services company.
- Alternatively, 2-4 years in project management solving complex user
problems at similar businesses.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; logical, critical
thinker with the ability to think beyond existing business
paradigms.
- Working knowledge of project management
- Demonstrated time management skill and ability to handle multiple
priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Exhibited initiative and personal integrity.
This is an onsite role. Salary range for the position is \$50,000 to
\$70,000 based on the degree of relevant experience, knowledge, and
skill. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm CST, with some
overtime and some travel as needed.
