The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience. This role is based on-site in Linden, NJ.
Job Summary:
The Product Commercialization Food Production Technologist plays a critical role in the successful launch of new food products, ensuring that all trials and commercialization efforts align with production timelines and business goals. This position manages the entire process from conception to launch, ensuring accurate specifications, labeling, and artwork while working closely with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the commercialization of new products, product modifications, and cost-saving initiatives through cross-functional team collaboration.
Ensure product launches are executed according to the commercialization roadmap and project timelines.
Communicate project progress, flag potential delays, and proactively address challenges.
Plan and schedule project timelines for each product launch, ensuring alignment with Fresh Realm requirements.
Work closely with Business Development, Quality, and Operations to define project deliverables and milestones.
Conduct full shelf-life testing for new meals and raw materials.
Maintain accurate specifications, artwork, and system labeling within required timelines.
Implement and communicate any updates to the internal commercialization processes.
Define and manage an escalation process for project-related challenges.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Project Commercialization role within a chilled food manufacturing environment .
Strong project management skills, with experience in fast-paced, short-shelf-life food production .
Comfortable using project management software independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships across teams.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience with manufacturing trials and plant/operational processes preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Travel: 10-15% as needed to various Fresh Realm locations for meetings and job-related functions.
Work Environment:
50% production floor (food manufacturing facility).
50% office setting (project planning and collaboration).
