IBM Country HR Manager in Lisbon, Portugal

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

-partnering with upline leadership and executive teams to help influence and proactively address opportunities related to leadership, skills, talent and succession management, employee engagement & culture, diversity & inclusion, and organizational development to support business growth and deliver delightful employee experiences.

-providing advice and counsel to Country Top Management, supporting engagement and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives while helping with key local events as needed, and also recommending solutions to complex employee relations and HR issues.

-collaborating with stakeholders of all levels

-liaising closely with other functions like Finance, Legal, Marketing and Communications, etc., enabling a comprehensive workforce strategy.

-people development, including but not limited to: building, coaching, and nurturing a team through providing clear, candid, and transparent feedback.

-being HR focal for all crisis management events. This requires demonstrated employee/labor relations skills and the ability to remain calm and think quickly to respond to crisis needs and account for the health & safety of employees.

-partnering with other HR functions, deploying and executing HR programs (such as compensation, benefits, workforce diversity) and strategy.

-working in a role where no two days are the same

-permanent position, based in Lisbon

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5 + years HR Leader experience

Experience working for a large multinational

Exceptional stakeholder management skills

People management skills and experience

Employee/labor relations skills and experience

Experience on creating a solid HR Team and procedures

High level of resilience and self-control

Business acumen and a forward-thinking approach, growth mindset

Ability to see the 'big picture'

Fluency in the Portuguese and English language

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise


About Business UnitThis position currently sits within Global Technology Services (GTS) Infrastructure Services (IS) or a shared services function supporting GTS.
