The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Experience Transformation Business Intelligence team provides support by partnering with our digital product owners and enterprise partners in understanding not only the digital footprint but also the upstream and downstream impacts of digital behavior. We are dedicated to improving the experience of our associates, members, prospects, and providers through delivering reports, analytics, outcomes, and insights, as well as working with other analytics/reporting teams across the enterprise to support our digital strategy.
The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems and issues using a variety of internal Humana data and tools. The Business Intelligence Lead works closely with product leaders, engineers, and designers to deliver insights related to digital activity, efficiency, emerging trends, process improvement, pilot measurement, and member, provider and associate experience. As a Business Intelligence Lead, you will:
Build strong trusting partnerships with product leaders to support digital products/assets, varying from program to program, and team to team.
Be the first touchpoint for product leader data needs, responsible for identifying solutions both home-grown and in partnership with other data and analytic teams, including our own data science team.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the digital product strategy and recommend adjustments when needed to drive outcomes.
Lead the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of measurement strategies used to move our business forward and elevate our OKRs in the right direction.
Both present and prepare product leaders to present insights on their teams and programs leading to improvement, operational efficiency, and trend savings.
Support data and report process efficiency including through automation, documentation, and best practices, delivering consistent look-and-feel to end-users.
Assess and improve current data and reporting environment related to digital products.
Work closely with associates and senior leaders across the enterprise to solicit input, guide data-backed problem solving, and make recommendations to advance the digital strategy.
Contribute to the shared growth and education of your immediate team related to technology, data measurement and best-practices, and other professional development activities.
May require 5% travel if outside of Louisville

Required Qualifications
8 or more years of experience in reporting, data and analytics
2 or more years of business facing experience
Experience with SQL and data visualization tools
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership
Ability to present to execute leadership
Desired Qualifications
Advanced in SAS and other data systems
Experience with tools such as Power BI & Tableau for creating data visualizations
Expertise in data mining, measurement planning and metric development
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$117,600 - $161,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
