Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in the Utilities/Infrastructure industry, located in Livermore, California. In this role, you will be functioning as an Accounting Clerk, focusing on accounts receivable and the processing of financial, administrative, and clerical services. This role will require you to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of operations, process and monitor incoming payments, and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Responsibilities:
• Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Executing day-to-day financial transactions, which include verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data
• Preparing bills, invoices, and bank deposits
• Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to make sure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verifying discrepancies and resolving clients’ billing issues
• Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Providing financial, administrative and clerical services
• Preparing, negotiating, and issuing contract documents and amendments
• Establishing and maintaining accurate tracking records tailored to each contract
• Performing contract closeout actions, completing file documentation, and forwarding contract files to storage
• Coordinating Subcontracts and related Subcontract compliance paperwork
• Reaching out to customers to collect overdue payments by following the company’s collection process.
Key skills include Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, Contract Administration, Collections. Requirements • Minimum of three years experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position within the Utilities/Infrastructure industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks software for accounting tasks
• Experience with Oracle and SAP systems for managing financial databases
• Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation to ensure financial records are accurate
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to manage payments and income
• Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing to maintain accurate financial records
• Proficiency in Data Entry to ensure accurate input of financial information into databases
• Experience with Contract Administration to ensure compliance with financial agreements
• Familiarity with Collections processes to manage overdue accounts and payments
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
