Job Title: GIS Engineer
Job Description
Join our delivery team to support the development and execution of industry-leading solutions for some of North America’s largest utilities customers. In this role, you will work directly with our customers, technical teams, and industry partners to position for, respond to, and deliver high-quality GIS solutions.
Responsibilities
Engage stakeholders and clients to provide strategic guidance on GIS technology.
Provide expertise in GIS software and technology.
Design and create construction details and sketches.
Manage physical network inventory and plan new infrastructure, including telecom and utility poles.
Collaborate with internal project leads and/or project managers on project requirements and interdependencies.
Ensure data quality and accuracy for task deliverables.
Reinforce company values for team members on assigned projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in GIS, Esri, and SmallWorld GIS software.
Experience with design and engineering of overhead distribution poles.
Ability to design make-ready services for utility poles.
Strong understanding of telecom and utility infrastructure.
Excellent data management and quality assurance skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred, but candidates with an associate degree or a GIS degree will be considered.
Years of relevant experience may compensate for educational qualifications.
Third-party make-ready designing capabilities, including pole line surveys, design and engineering, pole loading analysis, permitting and approvals, construction management, and post-construction inspections.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
