Provides applications technical support for the installation and maintenance of enterprise, regional or local client server software application packages that support the business needs of Trinity Health. Develops in-house scripts and monitors error situations/conditions to improve application processing and user client performance. Troubleshoots and provides problem resolution to unexpected and complex errors/issues related to applications. Work activities require strong competency in with client server technology and considerable analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to diagnose and address problems with system hardware, software and connectivity; lead small projects and support specialized applications. Works with enterprise, regional or local level applications that may be deployed across multiple ministry organizations and geographic locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Installs and configures releases and service pack updates. Manages and monitors environment to ensure continued software functionality. Utilizes software applications to deploy software updates on multiple servers. Interfaces with other technical support teams as needed to coordinate software and hardware updates.

  • Develops scripts in order to correct application or database problems, support project goals and report requested data.

  • Provides application and application database management support. Monitors error logs, schedules backups, run scripts, etc.

  • Troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves complex hardware, software and connectivity issues. Researches and evaluates a variety of reports, job logs, scheduled job settings, availability of other servers, installed application file structure, and other software settings. Provides solutions to correct operational inefficiencies and identifies and determines opportunities to improve overall software performance.

  • Plans and develops processing steps to improve performance of application. Monitor, identify and report applications errors. Documents system problems for reference. Creates and maintains system documentation.

  • Participates on project teams and serves as technical lead on small to moderately complex projects. Participates in planning meetings, conversions, and cutover. Provides testing, process change, troubleshooting, scripting and data support.

  • Recommends scheduling/timing of database and server updates, replacements and application upgrades. Determines what issues need to be escalated to other TIS technical team members or outside vendors.

  • Interfaces with other TIS support to test functionality of installed or updated software and explore new opportunities to improve software performance.

  • Attends meetings to discuss scheduled upgrades and technical issues requiring attention.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Aternity software or other Riverbed supported tools.Understanding of Docker and managing containers. Possess familiarity with the RHEL(Linux) operating system. Experience working in Tableau to create custom dashboards.

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in computer information technology or a minimum of three-five (3-5) years of related experience in a client server environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Intermediate technical knowledge of and experience with computer languages designed to manage relational database management systems and server operating systems.

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with relational database and Windows scripting languages, specifically Powershell.

  • Some knowledge and experience with programming concepts, scripting and coding preferred.

  • Some knowledge and experience with reporting tools.

  • Some knowledge of Active Directory preferred.

  • Ability to lead small to moderately complex projects.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.

  • Strong customer service skills. Ability to interface with multiple technical and business teams.

  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Some project management skills preferred.

  • Must possess a willingness to learn and develop skills.

  • Must possess the ability to work in teams and with direct supervision.

  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
