What You Will Do
The Production Supervisor oversees a variety of production processes and
department operations, including personnel management and scheduling.
They ensure work completion, implement production plans, monitor
progress, and resolve issues. Additionally, they maintain quality
standards, equipment functionality, and a safe work environment. They
also compile and analyze production data and provide manufacturing
information as needed.
- Lead, manage, and create schedules for production employees.
- Support and motivate employees, fostering innovation, technical
knowledge, and participation in process improvements while upholding
quality standards.
- Assist in recruiting new production operators and oversee staff
evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure efficient daily operations in production areas.
- Collect production data and compare it to established standards for
accuracy (I.e. - scrap, OEE, EHE and quality).
- Convey daily issues to other shift supervisors.
- Coordinate repair work and improvements with other support
departments, like Maintenance, Tool & Die, and Process Improvement.
- Supervise quality, safety, security, work conditions, and
housekeeping activities within the department, including TPM, 5S and
Kanban replenishment.
- Manage team to achieve strong results and high employee engagement.
- Develop talent to meet current department needs.
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years\' experience in production operations and experience
leading teams
- Bachelor\'s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to gain cooperation of others and conduct presentations of
technical information concerning specific projects, schedules, etc.
- Ability to operate a computer and a working knowledge of word
processing, spreadsheets, MRP, and other related software/systems
(including Oracle)
- Working knowledge of inventory systems
- Accuracy when performing data entry for production recording
- Must be available to work any shift, on an as-needed basis
