Overview Utah State University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS; ) is seeking a staff psychologist (Clinician II or Psychologist) to provide embedded services to the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services (CEHS). This is a fulltime, benefited, 12-month position with an approximate 50/50 split time between CAPS and the embedded site. This position will be based on the USU-Logan campus. The start date is negotiable, preferably early summer and no later than mid-August. For best consideration, please apply by March 29. Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, supervision and training, outreach, single-session therapy, and triage consultations. As the embedded clinician to CEHS, this position will provide consultations to departments, administrators, faculty, and staff within CEHS in order to address and support the unique needs of CEHS students. This includes providing therapeutic services to students in USU's PhD program in clinical and counseling psychology, as well as graduate students from other programs in CEHS.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical services (65%) - Provide individual face-to-face and teletherapy psychotherapy, consultation, intake, and crisis interventions. May provide group therapy and/or psychoeducational assessments. Prepare for sessions and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clinical services.
  • Outreach services (15%) - Prepare for and provide outreach presentations and workshops. Serve on departmental, division, and university committees as needed. Build a strong collaborative relationship with assigned liaisons in CEHS.
  • Training services (5%) - When possible, provide individual and group clinical supervision and training of doctoral interns and/or undergraduate paraprofessionals. Review supervisees' clinical paperwork and session recordings. Evaluate supervisees and provide meaningful feedback, letters of recommendation, and training seminars.
  • Other professional responsibilities (15%) - Practice all responsibilities in accordance with ethical and professional standards and state laws. Understand and comply with CAPS and university policies and procedures.
