OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

This role will provide high-quality support and education primarily to the Immunology and Neuroimmunology communities and those healthcare professionals managing secondary immune-deficiency, building strong, sustainable peer-to-peer nurse and specialist healthcare professional partnerships focused on improving patient care by:

  • Providing local level peer to peer education and support for healthcare professionals, including training and support in subcutaneous infusion of Takeda products

  • Nurse Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement and development

  • Developing regional training events for nurses and allied healthcare professionals including facilitating peer to peer networking to help share best practice within healthcare commuities

  • Effectively managing multiple projects, working within cross-functional teams and where necessary draw upon external resources to deliver objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Identify specific nurse and associated Healthcare Professionals (HCP) medical education needs, including identification of potential topics, new and existing materials and potential speakers, and then organise and implement the relevant training activities, working closely with the account lead and wider account team members to ensure successful delivery.

  • Develop strong sustainable peer to peer relationships with external stakeholders across immunology, secondary immunodeficiency and neurology, to continuously understand changing medical education needs in a continuously evolving NHS environment.

  • Initiate and develop strong peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders in nursing and use networks for peer to peer sharing of clinical experience and best practice across the UK

  • Provide nurse and/or associated HCP tailored medical education presentations, workshops and Train-the Trainer events, as required with an emphasis on, but not limited to, subcutaneous infusion training

  • In consultation with the cross-functional team utilise both internal and external resources to best deliver relevant high-quality nurse and associated HCPs medical education that addresses the wider medical education needs

  • Participate in the development and implementation of key regional and national medical activities (e.g. Advisory boards, regional and national medical education, preceptorships and / or regional / national peer-to-peer training activities).

  • Share in-field insights in a compliant manner with relevant business functions to inform strategic planning and activities, which ensure nurses/ allied HCPs are better equipped with knowledge & skills to improve patient care.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS :

  • UK Registered Nurse

  • Clinical experience within immunology/neuro-immunology within NHS setting

  • Clinical experience in subcutaneous infusion administration

  • Demonstrable experience delivering education to HCPs, teaching qualification desirable.

  • Demonstrable experience of quality improvement initiatives

  • Thorough understanding of NHS organisation

  • (Desirable) Pharmaceutical industry experience or experience working with the pharmaceutical industry

  • (Desirable) Knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice
