Finance Business Partner OPEX

Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A you will be the key point of contact within the Finance team for colleagues within our UKI (UK & Ireland) region for OPEX related topics across several legal entities and business units. You will become a trusted adviser, challenging where appropriate and adding value in order to drive business strategy.

Opportunity is hybrid which can be based out of either our Stratford, London office or Dublin, Ireland office.

Your role in our future

  • You will provide analysis and assessment of performance against the budget and forecast plans on a monthly basis, owning the OPEX P&L

  • You will provide OPEX analysis and contribution across the several business units, MRS, ICA and PLS.

  • You will deliver reporting against KPI’s and take part in financial modelling, and you’ll hold monthly reviews with your stakeholders, including variance analysis and commentary.

  • You will provide analysis and commentary on payroll on a monthly basis to the finance leadership for each legal entity/Business Unit.

  • You will proactively drive business performance by identifying risks and opportunities for business and you will maintain close control over expenditure, supporting the business’ principal project activities by providing analytical reasoning and making recommendations.

  • You will actively participate in budget and forecast process, inputting, collating, and gathering all relevant information per legal entities with close collaboration with other departments and Business Units.

  • You will work closely with the management accounting team, building the bridge between accounting and the wider business.

  • You will work closely with the FP&A team, providing detailed explanation and support for OPEX allocation across the different Business Units.

  • You will work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, Service, etc. providing monthly reporting, following up on queries and challenging budget planning and execution.

  • You will participate in ad hoc projects, supporting the finance department.

Your profile

  • Qualified accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role in industry.

  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office with a particularly strong ability in Excel.

  • Experience in Hyperion Reporting & TM1 is a plus.

  • Experience in SAP and Exact is a plus.

  • You’re a highly motivated team player who can demonstrate drive, proactivity, and independence, yet you balance this with the ability to be a supportive team player, holding a key role in the team.

  • You’ve demonstrable experience within a finance team in a similar role in a multi-entity and complex organization.

  • You can demonstrate your experience in Accounting, Forecasting & Budgeting, performance monitoring and reporting.

  • You have exceptional relationship building skills and can maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, you can build trust and rapport quickly.

  • You are results focused, have attention to detail and the ability to comply with strict deadlines.

  • You will need experience working with teams across multiple locations.
