The Product and Delivery team are responsible for successfully implementing new business opportunities or changes to existing services across our International Networks and Direct to Consumer (D2C) businesses. With responsibility across the Media Operations lifecycle from scheduling & playout to media ordering & fulfilment, the team are experts at delivering new services across the end-to-end workflow.

The team develop, support and deploy business systems and solutions used by several NBCU business units globally, including International Networks and D2C, Peacock and Sky Showtime.

Specifically, we require an Implementation Manager to join the team who will lead on the linear and non-linear service implementation and improvements for our International Networks and D2C business units, owning the solution design and the implementation changes required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own solution design, implementation and technical delivery for International Media Operations initiatives.

  • Own the roadmap for new client onboarding and implementation projects across NBCU International Networks and D2C business units.

  • Collaborate alongside other Product and Delivery team members, contributing to project planning and estimation relating to new business projects.

  • Act as an advisor, SME and consultant to the Director, Product and the IMO leadership team on key decisions.

  • Lead and manage a team of Implementation Analysts delivering on the above business projects.

  • Own the creation of Product deliverable and reliability metrics, ensuring stakeholders are regularly updated.

  • Assist with implementing agile and lean methodologies within the Product team, including fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Be responsible for the creation of technical requirements for our engineering partners.

  • Ensure that best practice is always upkept for project/product documentation.

  • Ensure that solutions are aligned with agreed technology strategy and architectural principles.

  • Own testing and release of implementation changes related to business projects.

  • Work in partnership with other Product team members to prioritise all development work, working collaboratively with other Integration and Delivery and Media Technology team members to ensure business needs are met.

  • Produce and maintain documentation for each new implementation that makes it easy for users and support to understand how they interact and troubleshoot.

  • Provide system configuration in partnership with our Product Manager and integrations that meet project requirements and are well documented.

  • Ensure the successful implementation and rollout of new services and workflows, providing support to end users, operations and support when projects and changes are going into BAU.

  • Educate teams in International Media Operations and externally in the wider business on new solutions or functionality post project implementation.

  • Provide updates to business stakeholders on implementation updates relating to business projects.

Some international travel may be required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience desirable.

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills and strong presentation abilities.

  • Significant experience in broadcast and media workflows, in particular Linear TV, VOD and OTT service implementation.

  • Be able to understand and draft technical diagrams and be able to discuss with technical and non-technical audiences alike.

  • Expertise in research, technical writing and development of user stories.

Other Skills:

  • Good knowledge of software development methodologies and processes, ideally hands on experience of working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

  • Able to see the big picture while at the same time have a keen eye for detail.

  • Good knowledge of integration principles and experience with designing efficient solutions around business workflows.

  • Strategic thinker, able to envisage and deliver innovative end to end solutions to support business requirements in a large international media organisation.

  • Experience with release testing, including the creation and execution of test cases.

  • Experience working with business analytics teams, understanding business problems and translating them into technical solutions.

  • Proactive with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, planning and time management skills.

  • Clearly understand the business drivers behind each solution developed and also be able to articulate complex technology solutions in a manner understood by business stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of broadcast media systems, such as channel, content, rights, asset and subscriber management systems, that support the content management lifecycle for linear TV, VOD and OTT services.

  • Some experience with media asset management systems, encoding and transcoding systems, distribution systems and playout systems for digital media for television, web and mobile platforms.

  • Some experience with data visualisation frameworks such as Microsoft PowerBi.

  • Experience managing senior stakeholders, building buy-in through written and verbal communication.

  • High emotional intelligence, demonstrating self-awareness, self-control and ability to lead and inspire others.

  • Proven ability to work to deadlines, prioritise, and perform as part of a team to meet project objectives.

  • Methodical, organised and have a hands-on approach.

  • Self-motivated and able to work using your own initiative.

  • Confidence to assess a situation and take action.

  • Able to multi-task.

  • Expert user of Jira and Confluence.
