The Risk Department at Marex is responsible for assessing and managing various financial and non-financial risks that the company may face. The department employs analytical tools to monitor and mitigate potential threats. By implementing robust risk management practices, the department contributes towards maintaining Marex's overall financial stability.

The Risk Department consists of the following areas:

• Credit Risk

• Market Risk

• Clearing Risk

• Operational Risk

• Change Projects

• Change Risk & Assurance

• Governance

• Data Privacy

• Risk Technology

The Risk Business Analyst supports the successful delivery of change projects and acquisitions through scoping out requirements and being the conduit between the Risk Department and Risk Technology. This person will support the Risk Project Manager to ensure successful implementation of change whilst safeguarding the firm from potential risks. The Risk Business Analyst may from time to time be asked to project manage smaller change projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working in change, is a detailed planner, can manage their time effectively to work on multiple projects, and is an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering for assigned change projects and acquisitions

• Work with stakeholders across the department to understand the impacts of new business initiatives and acquisitions on existing Risk systems.

• Identify areas for improvement in processes and controls through liaison with stakeholders across the department and drive change.

• Work closely with Risk Technology to map the department requirements into technical specifications.

• Project manage smaller change projects where requested, under the guidance of the Risk Project Manager.

• Follow up on project deliverables to support timeliness of actions.

• Ensure written documentation is produced to support your work.

• Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the [FCA, NFA, AMF, AFM, MAS]

• Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

• Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

• At all times complying with the FCA's Code of Conduct [UK only] /Marex's Code of Conduct [non uk]

• To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility

• To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required

• To escalate risk events immediately

• To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Experience in:

• Working in transformation or change projects.

• Risk or IT experience in the industry is desirable.

• Working with and influencing stakeholders at different levels.

• Producing requirements documentation.

• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills and experiences in the use of internal IT systems.

• Experience in using Microsoft Projects is desirable.

• Delivery in a regulated environment and the respective controls expected.

Skills:
