Amazon Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Fiber Deployment - EMEA, Global Connectivity Infrastructure Development in London, United Kingdom

Description

Amazon provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world.

The Amazon Cloud infrastructure is built around Regions and Availability Zones. Our Regions provide multiple, physically separated and isolated Availability Zones which are connected with low latency, high throughput, and highly redundant networking.

These Availability Zones offer AWS customers an easier and more effective way to design and operate applications and databases, making them more highly available, fault tolerant, and scalable than traditional single data centre infrastructures or multi-data centre infrastructures.

How would you like to come be part of the team that builds Fiber to the Cloud?

We are looking for a highly motivated, technically savvy Network Infrastructure Fiber Deployment Manager to help develop and scale one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. The Fiber Deployment Manager is responsible for managing some of the most technical, cost efficient, and fast paced communication construction project schedules achievable. Deployment Managers are constantly required to drive continuous improvement and deliver the highest quality, most technically efficient connectivity solutions in the world.

As a Fiber Deployment Manager you will be a part of highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating and complex problems in fiber construction. Fiber Deployment Managers are always at the forefront of the network construction industry and maintain a focus on delivering the most innovative products to our customers. Our networks are standout terms of capacity and cost effectiveness. The Fiber Deployment Manager is ultimately responsible for end to end network delivery and contractor management. The Fiber Deployment Manager will also be utilised as a leader in their specific discipline (construction management, fiber splicing, OSP design, ISP construction or system installation/commissioning) and be an integral team member in the building of some of the most complex fiber optic networks in the world.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities
