The Transformation Office is a newly established team responsible for supporting the business to enhance productivity, and will play a pivotal role in driving organisational efficiency. The team will leverage tools such as business process reengineering (BPR) and outsourcing/offshoring, a broad range of digitalisation (DX) tools including automation, digitisation / OCR, artificial intelligence (AI) and workflow. The function will also be responsible for the build out of appropriate governance frameworks for AI.

Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an experienced PM / BA to support the Transformation Office analyse and deliver key initiatives to realise productivity gains utilising a broad range of tools/levers, as well as to support the build out of the EMEA region’s AI agenda and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Given the nature of the function, the candidate will need to flex as required to the needs of each particular project, and the overall programme. The broad based responsibilities are as follows:

  • Analysis: For proposed projects, review and clearly articulate the problem statement, analyse requirements and identify an appropriate solution/ solution(s).

  • Project delivery: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for initiatives, considering scope, timelines, and resource requirements, and adhering to the PDLC. Track and report key performance indicators, project milestones. Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful project delivery within established timelines and budgets.

  • Benefits definition and tracking: Determine appropriate metrics for ROI / benefits tracking.

  • BAU handover: Ensure appropriate handover to BAU.

  • AI governance: Support the establishment of appropriate governance frameworks for AI

  • Transformation Office Governance: Support the establishment of appropriate governance frameworks for the initiatives delivered by the Transformation Office.

  • Communications: Support the communications agenda for the programme, including key committee updates

  • EMEA champions: Coordinate the community of champions within EMEA, developing their role as an advocate and liaison between the Transformation Office and their business stakeholders.

  • Global partnership: Coordinate with key contacts in other locations (Americas, Asia, Japan), leveraging solutions to common challenges and aligning wherever possible

  • Horizon scanning: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, digitalization, and broader transformation, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.

  • External relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage expertise and resources for project success.

Work Experience

  • Ideally consultancy background, with experience delivering similar transformation initiatives.

  • Proven experience managing transformation initiatives, demonstrating successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion.

  • Proven experience in business analysis on a range of transformation initiatives.

  • Proven experience with a range of transformation tools, including business process re-engineering, automation, AI, etc, and their application to business processes.

Skills and Experience

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Sound understanding of investment banking operating model, front to back, and the opportunities and challenges confronting the organisation

  • Strong understanding of Change Management and project delivery, and familiarity with project management methodologies.

  • Strong planning, budgeting and prioritisation skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), able to communicate concepts clearly, concisely and accurately, adapting as required for the intended audience.

  • Sound stakeholder management skills with an ability to operate with individuals at all levels, with a proven ability to present and challenge

  • Sound understanding of governance, risk and control frameworks, both for Change and the wider organisation

  • Calm approach, with the ability to work well in a pressurised and fast paced environment, operate with urgency, manage large workloads, appropriately prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills
