The SNC team is performing on a major multi-year contract developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare capabilities for the Department of Defense. Responsibilities:

  • Planning, developing, implementing, porting, and optimizing firmware for signal processing

  • Maintaining stable firmware

  • Maintaining version control

  • Gathering and analyzing requirements from stakeholders

  • Ensuring design changes are documented

  • Performing code reviews

  • Writing and maintaining firmware documentation

  • Testing firmware releases

  • Working closely with test team and stakeholders to verify, validate, and resolve issues

  • Providing technical support to the firmware development team

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams

  • Basic understanding of digital circuit concepts

  • Experience with FPGA HDL development, simulation and analysis, utilizing the VHDL language

  • Average to Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Untied States Top Secret Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis

  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)

  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes

  • Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)

  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture

  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools

  • Experience with source code management systems

  • Experience with Linux Operating System and shell script development

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
