The Faculty Affairs Department of the Keck School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding Faculty Affairs Coordinator to join our team.

Job Accountabilities

Assist in drafting faculty offer letters and processing status changes for over 30 departments within the Keck School of Medicine. Provide administrative support for faculty affairs, contributing to the daily operations that facilitate the faculty employee life cycle and ensuring the efficient execution of all faculty-related processes and services.

Requirements

Highly skilled in maintaining strict confidentiality and professional decorum – The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional discretion when handling sensitive information and navigate complex environments with tact and professionalism. Experience in faculty onboarding – The candidate will provide excellent service to 30+ departments and institutes at the Keck School of Medicine and other USC schools. Proficiency in collaborating with stakeholders – Strong ability to work with stakeholders in a professional and customer-oriented manner, ensuring effective communication and cooperation. Proficient in IT tools – Expertise in MS Outlook, Excel, and DocuSign, with familiarity in Workday being an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities – The candidate must be adept at conveying information clearly and effectively in both written and spoken formats.

Hybrid Position: The job requires, at minimum, 3 days on-site per week.

The hourly rate range for this position is $37.11 to $45.90 When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Skills: Ability to receive supervision and guidance. Working knowledge of faculty employee life cycle. Highly organized. Experienced in Microsoft Office. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred Experience: 3 years Preferred Skills: Understanding of faculty-related matters (e.g., appointments, promotions, and tenure). Highly motivated. Experience working with faculty in a university environment.
