Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Trust and Estates Attorey for a law firm based in Los Angeles, California. Some detailed responsibilities below:

Other duties will include:

  • Draft substantive complaints, motions, oppositions, correspondence and other pleadings. Draft Estate Plan documents including but not limited to, wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Special Needs Trusts, and other trusts.

  • Preparing federal gift tax and estate tax returns (federal and state)

  • Preparing real estate documents including review of deeds, and transfers of cooperative shares related to the funding of trusts.

  • Advising clients on elder law matters and asset protection planning related to all public benefits

  • Drafting and funding of asset protection trusts

  • Post-death trust administrations and probate proceedings.

  • High net worth gift and tax planning, including drafting spousal trusts (and generation-skipping trusts for the benefit of clients' descendants and other types of trusts commonly used in estate planning, promissory notes, LLC operating agreements, etc.

  • Supervise work of paralegals and assistants.

Skills and Requirements

- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in this specific practice area (trust, estate, conservatorship, guardianship, and elder abuse litigation)

- significant experience handling probate and trust matters in the probate divisions of California Superior Courts.

- Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

- Additional licensure or education, such as LLM, MBA, or CPA is helpful

- Membership in good standing in the California State Bar

- Must comply with MCLE requirements null
