GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Provide full-time on-site support to the Airborne Early Warning & Control Rear Crew Trainer (AEW&C RCT) Facility at RAF Lossiemouth. Administer and maintain the System and Network; Operate and maintain the system operational processes to include system hardware and software; Perform analysis to determine accurate implementation of corrective measures. Explore, research, and develop methods to expand training opportunities to exploit the full capabilities of the AEW&C RCT. Coordinate training event schedules and objectives, which are programmed for the AEW&C RCT. Provide on-site personnel with expertise relative to the following activities associated with the operational conduct of the informational/network systems of the AEW&C RCT.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and maintain the AEW&C RCT computer internal and external network domains.

  • Monitor the AEW&C RCT Operational and Communications Systems during employment for unscheduled anomalies.

  • Configure and devise the AEW&C RCT mission consoles, Instructor Operational Stations, briefing and debriefing equipment, networking and communications, to include printers and other associated equipment, to meet scheduled training events.

  • Configure the AEW&C RCT’s alternative capabilities to display as required to meet scheduled training objectives.

  • Provide analytical support and assistance to the AEW&C RCT customers/users and research events.

  • Provide familiarization and operational training including assistance to customers regarding the operational execution of the AEW&C RCT.

  • Conduct preventive and conventional maintenance on the AEW&C RCT network, systems, and hardware.

  • Analyze, test, and validate system equipment and hardware for accurate performance.

  • Analyze, test, and validate system software and scenario changes or modifications.

  • Monitor and corroborate software concurrency upgrades as scheduled by the customer.

  • Participate in customer software concurrency meetings as required.

  • Assist White Force personnel with the development of training capabilities and training events.

  • De-conflict scheduled events within the AEW&C RCT.

    Additionally:

  • Establish positive and productive relationships with all relevant stakeholders to support training requirements.

  • Establish a positive and productive relationship with the current training support team to assist in training of their personnel on the AEW&C RCT capabilities and functionality.

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the military executive level customers and sponsored military, MoD, and commercial visitors to the AEW&C RCT facility.

  • Identify additional customer needs and requirements that may evolve into future business opportunities.

  • Identify other potential UK MoD customers and requirements that may evolve into future business opportunities and work in conjunction with the PLEXSYS UK team.

  • Other tasking and duties as assigned.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven to ten years of military experience in Command and Control.

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

  • UK Secret Clearance.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and the ability to work unsupervised.

    DESIRABLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or administration.

  • Master of Business Administration.

  • C2 Aircrew experience.

  • Experience with networking and network configuration.

  • DV clearance.

  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer certification.

  • Extensive knowledge of C4ISR.

  • Experience in administering Computer Servers in a multi-domain environment.

  • Experience with Linux.
