PRIME AE Group of NY Construction Inspector in Louisville, Kentucky

Position Overview:

The primary function of this role will be to assist in managing, monitoring, and inspecting infrastructure construction projects, leading to a Construction Manager role within JTL

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand engineering construction contracts, plans and specifications.
  • Perform earthwork, concrete, structural, mechanical, process drainage, asphalt, water, sewer, utility, and materials inspections on construction projects.
  • Support project activities by performing calculations, measurements, documentation, and other technical and engineering-related functions.
  • Review and coordinate verification or acceptance testing of construction materials in the field or at the laboratory.
  • Coordinate construction management and inspection services provided by project subconsultants.
  • Prepare, organize, lead and document construction meetings with the contractors and client.
  • Correspond with project staff and clients.
  • Manage and assist with Construction progress payment, RFI and submittal reviews.
  • Organize, conduct and document construction coordination meetings.
  • Assist with managing and tracking construction documents and submittals.
  • Experience with electronic and Web-based construction documentation systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

We are seeking all levels of inspectors from entry level to construction managers inspectors. Interested applicants should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection or construction material testing.
  • A valid drivers' license.
  • Basic understanding of construction specifications and processes.
  • Other certifications such as INDOT/KYTC, NICET, Asphalt, and American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete field testing, etc. will be considered.
