Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the production process by managing the movement and storage of materials. Your responsibilities will include pulling and staging buns for production, loading and unloading trucks, supplying raw materials to production lines, and maintaining clean surroundings in the warehouse. This position operates in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment where adherence to company GMPs and food safety standards is essential.
Responsibilities
Pull and stage buns for production (30%).
Load and unload trucks of raw materials and finished products (20%).
Supply raw materials to the production line, following all company GMPs (25%).
Remove raw material packaging waste from the production floor (10%).
Maintain clean surroundings in the warehouse (10%).
Work on the production line when needed (5%).
Deliver products into freezers and take products out to the production floor as required.
Essential Skills
Experience in warehouse operations.
Ability to load and unload trucks efficiently.
Quality control and equipment operation skills.
Proficiency in operating forklifts (sit-down or stand-up).
Material handling and inventory management skills.
Experience with RF scanners and order picking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication skills, especially with drivers.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment
The work environment is a food manufacturing setting where food safety standards must be upheld. You will work in the warehouse/shipping area and will be exposed to a strong food smell throughout the facility. The position requires moving at a fast pace and handling bread and other food materials. Proper attire and adherence to food safety standards are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
