The International Field Service Director provides technical support, service training, and manages communications, for the Latin America regions, including Mexico, Central/South America and the Caribbean. This position will be responsible for technical and related communications across 30 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The position will serve as a lifeline for technicians throughout the region, assisting with field service repairs remotely, via telephone and/or email. Furthermore, this position will plan, implement, and lead product service training for technicians throughout the region.

The International Field Service Director will develop close rapport with legacy distributors, Mabe Affiliates and Puerto Rico service operation to support and facilitate commercial growth in these areas.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Responsible for providing service guidance to GE Appliances technicians, 3rd party technicians and Mabe affiliates across Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • Resolution of complex consumer service issues in the geography.

  • Develop and enhance technical support via training, on-going support and introduction of new service diagnostic tools.

  • Lead recall efforts across the region.

  • Assist in expediting parts as needed in the region

  • Manage technical communications to and across the region.

  • Provide guidance and technical support to Puerto Rico service operation & 3rd parties, in coordination with local leadership.

  • Develop and Implement training calendar for Puerto Rico service operation.

  • Conduit for service communications between HQ and Puerto Rico / Caribbean.

  • Be directly involved in specific consumer complaint resolution across the region.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related area

  • 10 years of related experience, at least 5 of which are in the appliance service field

  • Strong analytical and highly developed communication (verbal and written) skills.

  • Ability to deliver feedback, motivate others and handle conflict situations in a productive and proactive manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects and deliver results.

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual – Fluency in both English and Spanish.

  • MBA

  • Green Belt Certification

Working Conditions

  • 25% travel required for domestic / international travel.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
