Job Title: Material Handler
Weekly Pay || $18 an hour || Louisville, KY
Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with cherry picking, reach trucks, or forklifts, though training is available. Warehouse experience is beneficial. Candidates must be willing to train on an order picker (cherry picker) and should not have a fear of heights. Initial duties may include hand picking, packing, or working in the shipping area. After training, the role will primarily involve operating a cherry picker to pick products for shipping and meeting picking rate targets.
Responsibilities
Operate cherry picker to pick products for shipping
Hand pick, pack, and work in the shipping area until trained on equipment
Build and maintain picking rates as required
Use RF scanning for inventory management
Maintain safety and efficiency in a warehouse environment
Essential Skills
Picking, packing, and warehouse experience
Cherry picking, reach truck, or forklift experience preferred
RF scanning proficiency
High school diploma or GED
No fear of heights
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work overtime each day if needed
Willingness to train on new equipment
Capability to meet established picking/packing goals

Work Environment
The facility is a part distribution center for a manufacturer of large cleaning and sweeping machines. The environment is not climate-controlled, with temperatures varying seasonally. Shorts and tank tops are acceptable attire. During high temperatures exceeding 97 degrees, extra breaks, water, and popsicles are provided. The pace is steady with established goals. Shifts start at 7am, 8am, 10am for the first shift, and 1:30 PM for the second shift. Trainers wear light blue shirts and leads wear dark blue shirts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
