UPS QA Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky
Job Title: QA Analyst
Department: Quality Assurance – Vendor Surveillance/CASS – Air Group Building, 1400 N. Hurstbourne Pkwy
Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst works in an office environment. He/She collects and analyzes technical/statistical data for trends as provided by the aircraft maintenance audit and surveillance system also known as the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS). The position requires the ability to develop charts, graphs and dashboards to be utilized for various quality assurance reports and presentations.
The QA Analyst responsibilities include:
Collecting and analyzing data for trends using indexing and slicing methods.
Power user for data analytics tools (developing and maintaining database and dashboard applications).
Preparing charts, graphs, presentation slides.
Producing various performance and compliance reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
Exploring opportunities to collect or mine new data streams and developing an implementation strategy for effectively using the new data for trend analysis and reporting.
Maintaining Share Point site contents.
Assisting with the development of mitigation strategies.
High degree of proficiency with:
Data Analytics Tools [e.g., Microsoft Power BI (Business Intelligence)].
Commercial software and web applications including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and Share Point.
Root cause analysis and monitoring processes to identify issues.
Technical writing and presentation skills.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a statistical analysis or data analytics related field.
Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, aircraft maintenance practices, and aircraft maintenance terminology to perform trend analysis of that data.
Be able to use verbal and written communication effectively with various levels of management. Maintain flexibility and adaptability in a complicated environment. Be able to work independently and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Demonstrate the ability to think creatively when analyzing quantitative or qualitative data.
