The Loveland Housing Authority (LHA) Accounting and Finance Department is
excited to be hiring a General Accountant to join our Team. The LHA Finance
& Accounting Department is creating a dynamic, diverse, and progressive

We are currently seeking applicants for the role of General Accountant,
which falls under the exempt salaried category. Reporting to the Accounting
Manager, the General Accountant undertakes autonomous tasks requiring deep
understanding of professional accounting standards
and specific experience in accounts payable/receivable. We are in search of

This position entails familiarity with generally accepted accounting
principles and involves working collaboratively across different
departments, engaging with external auditors, and liaising with various
vendors.
This is a full-time, benefited position. This position is scheduled to work
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. This position will be located at our
Loveland, CO office. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines,
this opportunity is an exempt salary position.
Hiring Salary Range: $55,432-$60,000 Annually
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Accountant plays a pivotal role within the Loveland
Housing Authority (LHA)
organization by maintaining financial records within the general operations of
the accounting department.
This position is assigned a wide array of accounting responsibilities such as
accounts payable, accounts
receivable, and general accounting tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Accounts Payable:
Process and post accounts payable transactions accurately in the general
ledger system.
Maintain detailed records of expenditures and ensure compliance with LHA
policies.
Manage outgoing payments, including utility bills, maintenance
agreements, and employee expense reimbursements.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
Provide technical guidance and support to the Accounts Payable function.
Assist in improving efficiency and effectiveness processes.
Provide expertise during annual financial audits.
Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor on monthly/quarterly/annual
reports.
Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents in a
timely manner.
Accounts Receivable:
Process assigned accounts receivable transactions accurately in the
general ledger system.
Reconcile cash receipts and deposits to bank statements.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal customers regarding
accounts receivable process.
Assist in enhancing process efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide back up support for accounts receivable tasks as needed.
Prepare Construction Development Draws and Reserve Replacement Draws
Assist staff in accounting and other departments with general ledger
interface questions.
Responsible for monthly insurance accruals
Fulfill any other A/R or A/P requirements as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

procedures
Strong mathematical skills to complete required calculations and
troubleshooting

Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite,
particularly Excel
Knowledge in multiple financial accounting systems, upgrades, and
implementation

Support the mission of the Loveland Housing Authority and Accounting

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred) or related field with
accounting course work required.
A minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable, accounts
receivable, and general ledger functions (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software products, especially Excel, and
knowledge of SharePoint is beneficial.
An equivalent combination of relevant education and full-time experience
may be considered.
