Robert Half Accounting Manager in Lowell, Michigan


We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join a family owned business in LOWELL, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, establishing and maintaining internal controls, and providing backup for the Accounting Clerk in their absence. This role will also involve assisting with taxes and licensing to ensure they are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.


• Ensure the accurate financial records of the company

• Help establish and maintain internal controls and guidelines that comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Maintain the accounting system comprising accounting, banking and other business software programs, including additions and updates

• Maintain an open line of communication with senior management regarding accounting status

• Use skills in 'Month End Close', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)' to effectively perform tasks

• Show extensive knowledge of in-house software, including the ability to troubleshoot, research and develop solutions

• Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills


• Must hold a relevant degree in Accounting.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Accounting field.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Month End Close processes.
