Abbott Electrophysiology (EP) is a leader in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia with a product portfolio that covers both capital and consumables.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Field Technical Specialist to join our expanding ANZ team.

Based in Hobart, TAS and reporting to the Regional Manager , this dynamic role will require the successful applicant to be able to work closely with EP physicians in the treatment of patients with arrythmias.

Your responsibilities include (and not limited to):

  • To achieve EP certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to attend and support EP sessions independently

  • To achieve 3D mapping certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to support 3D mapping cases independently and recording system.

  • Achieve sales targets and increase market share for your assigned territory through building strong relationships with key customers and providing high quality clinical service and support

  • Actively implement and execute on sales force effectiveness initiatives to help drive business growth, develop sales skills, including strategic and account territory planning, customer profiles and sales training

  • Manage your consignment stock

  • Maintain up to date product knowledge and actively participate in education programs

  • Assist with product marketing and launches

  • Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity

  • Conduct education/training to hospital staff on products and technology with the ability to do so at an advanced level

  • Provide training, support and mentorship to internal staff and colleagues and have the ability to do so at an advanced level

Who we’re looking for:

  • Opportunity for graduate to apply with a strong desire to work in the area of Electrophysiology.

  • Tertiary qualifications in biomedical / engineering / medical science / human movement / business degree or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) essential

  • Good understanding of the industry process and function would be an advantage

  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and negotiate with customers and experts

  • Flexibility to travel interstate.

Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
