Abbott Territory Manager, Neuromodulation - Sydney in Macquarie Park, Australia

Primary Job Function

This role is responsible for maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products within an assigned territory in Sydney.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Complete Neuromodulation product certification.

  • Achieve sales targets and increase market share for assigned territory.

  • Actively implement and execute on salesforce effectiveness initiatives to help drive business growth and sales skills development including strategic territory and account planning, customer profiles and sales training.

  • Utilise available sales analysis tools to assist in territory planning.

  • Develop relationships with and service key customer groups, identify and utilise key customer networks.

  • Support implantation and post-operative follow ups of devices within your territory.

  • Utilise internal resources to assist servicing customers within your territory.

  • Manage allocated consignment stock.

  • Maintain accurate customer profiles.

  • Maintain up to date product knowledge and actively participate in education programs.

  • Assist with product marketing and launches.

  • Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity.

  • Attend to/comply with customer service and other administrative requirements within the required timeframe.

  • Attend company sales meetings as required.

  • Some rural, interstate and possibly international travel may be required to fulfil your duties.

  • Ensure maintenance of company property/assets.

  • Have a sound understanding of, and comply with, the industry (MTAA) the Abbott Code of Conduct and Compliance requirements.

  • Handle and document customer complaints according to Field Event Reporting Standard Operating Procedure.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the requirements of the Quality Management System.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to Work, Health & Safety responsibilities.

  • Perform other related functions and responsibilities as directed by Manager.

Minimum Education

  • Tertiary qualification in Medical, Business Management field or other related field required.

Minimum Experience and Skills

  • Sales disposition and negotiation skills.

  • High level of communication and initiative.

  • Ability to build trusting relationships.

  • Good understanding of the industry process and function; able to convincingly discuss this with customers, as well as internal and external experts.

  • Ability to develop sales solutions that clearly connect to the business needs.

  • Time Management and problem-solving skills.

  • Passion for results and continuous improvement, both personally and professionally.

Quality, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

  • Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.

  • Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.

  • Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
