Controls Engineer II

What you will do

Responsibilities:

• Develop and provide support to all maintenance programs

• Develop procedures to improve uptime on the manufacturing equipment

• Develop and deploy Professional Maintenance, including, but not limited to, acting as a project leader, training team members on roles and methods, and implementing a quality maintenance system. Determine the best methodology for maintenance of equipment

• Schedule planned maintenance activities working with internal and external customers

• Assist in the implementation of a CMMS throughout the facility.

• Development and distribution of maintenance documentation.

• Service in a support role within a specialized area of assignment.

• Ensure products meet quality standards

• Implementation of business plans and department goals (MTBF, TB2F)

• Develop and update automation standards for the plant

• Create governance for plant automated equipment

Who are you?

Specialized Skills:

• Siemens S7 Simatic, Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC Flexible, and platforms related to Siemens automation

• Knowledge of ABB Robot Studio and IRC 5 programming Platform

• Knowledge of FANUC Robot systems

• Knowledge of vision systems (ISRA, QUISS, KEYENCE, COGNEX)

• Programmable Logic Controller Software Development and Design

• Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software Development and Design

• Field Bus Design and Commissioning

• Point to Point I/O Commissioning

• Documentation of the PLC Program and Program Structure

• Read and understand blueprints, electrical prints, drawings, controls documentation, product literature, customer-specific timing diagrams, etc.

• Knowledge of AGV/AMR/AGC systems

Competence requirements:

• Basic knowledge of the Maintenance Processes

• Knowledge of root cause analysis tools,5W1H, 5 Whys

Minimum Education and Experience:

• A BS degree with a concentration in technical background or 5 to 7 years of related experience with industrial controls is required.

• Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Solid understanding of high and low voltage systems

• Proficient in MS Office

• Knowledge of Computerized maintenance management systems

• Planning and scheduling of planned maintenance activities

• Understanding of WCM, or TPS (Toyota Production System)
