A Logistics Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Macungie, PA area. This role entails designing and implementing lean logistics processes, optimizing procedures, collaborating with stakeholders, and utilizing communication and AutoCAD skills.

responsibilities:
Design internal and external logistics processes using lean manufacturing concepts.
Engage stakeholders through explanation of facts, requirements, and best practices.
Define strategies to optimize procedures, minimize waste, drive problem-solving, and reduce logistics costs.
Implement future material handling flows and all supporting physical and electronic processes and documentation.
Create process standardizations, operator expectations, material disbursement routes, and related KPIs/PIs supporting Material Availability at Point of Use.
Deliver station designs compliant with internal flow strategies, working with cross-functional team members on the factory or warehouse floor.
Understand logistics packaging, inventory volumes, and their impact on the supply chain and material handling.
Skills:
Advanced understanding of basic computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, PowerBI).
strong communication, planning, organization, visualization/presentation skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and principles.
