Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our final assembly department. The ideal candidate will work with machined and cut-to-size parts to fabricate pieces together, primarily using TIG welding techniques. This position involves 95% TIG welding and 5% MIG welding. Additional responsibilities include using hand tools such as angle grinders and sanders to finish rough edges on stainless steel and aluminum parts. Candidates will also utilize tools like tube benders, drill presses, and saws to assist in creating necessary components. This role requires reading and interpreting blueprints for client-specific, short-run production jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding in horizontal and multiple positions.

  • Oversee and support all TIG welding and final assembly processes.

  • Use hand tools to finish rough edges on newly stamped or formed stainless steel and aluminum.

  • Operate machinery such as tube benders, drill presses, and saws to create parts.

  • Read and interpret blueprints for client-specific jobs.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of TIG stainless steel welding experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly with TIG welding and stainless steel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Fabrication and assembly experience.

  • Experience with machine shop tools (lathe, Bridgeport, saw, grinders, etc.).

  • Pipefitting skills.

  • MIG welding experience.

Work Environment

You will be working in a clean facility with a total of 84 employees, including a team of 10 welders. Our work environment includes multiple departments such as Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving. The dress code includes working attire, a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel toe boots. The facility operates on a 1st and 2nd shift.
