JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison
Teacher Education Center seeks an experienced education professional to
serve as the Indigenous Education Coordinator for the UW-Madison\'s
School of Education. The Coordinator will: 1) create professional
development training and materials for instructors and teacher educators
in the School of Education; 2) develop relationships and partnerships
with tribal governments and Indigenous communities in Wisconsin; 3) work
with leaders, instructors, other stakeholders, and students in the
School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to coordinate
the development and implementation of a multi-year strategy for
systematically integrating teaching, learning, and curriculum on Native
American and Indigenous histories, cultures, treaties, and tribal
sovereignty, particularly as related to Wisconsin\'s Act 31 state
statute. The Coordinator will be supported by colleagues in the Teacher
Education Center, the School of Education, and across the University who
are dedicated to strengthening Indigenous education at UW-Madison. They
will be able to draw on financial resources, administrative support,
partnerships, and shared governance structures (e.g. committees)
dedicated to the goal of developing relationships and a generative,
integrative strategy for Native American and Indigenous education in
teacher preparation programs and across the School of Education.
Responsibilities: Collaborates with faculty, staff, and executive
leadership of an academic program, department, division, or institution
to develop instructional programs and curricula. Applies learning theory
and instructional design models in the consultation, selection, and
application of educational methodologies and technologies to promote
active learning, refine critical thinking, and increase student success.

design and development by facilitating the work, and by contributing
expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and learning
