Position Overview The Kitchen Steward\'s role encompasses a variety of tasks and duties required to meet food service orders and events. The Kitchen Steward is responsible for overseeing vendor deliveries and inventorying the items upon arrival. This position helps maintain high levels of customer service, cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and restocking within the kitchen and for company-wide food service events. This position may also help with food preparation, as needed. This position will primarily support catering and event functions for Exact Sciences facilities in Madison, WI. Playing a crucial role within the team, this position involves setting up, delivering, and cleaning up food, materials, and equipment for events. Responsibilities include reading event orders, adhering to layout plans, and preparing for upcoming events with precision. The role encompasses arranging tables and decorations, ensuring timely food delivery, maintaining proper food temperatures, organizing catering storage and equipment, and producing accurate post-event reports. Exceptional time management skills and flexibility in working varied schedules to meet business needs are essential aspects of this role. Hours: Monday- Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. Occasional nights to support evening catering events. Compensation: \$20.50 per hour + Bonus Potential + Restricted Stock Units This position also includes our exceptional benefits package Essential Duties Include but are not limited to the following: Provide the highest quality of service at all times. Ensure preparation stations and kitchen are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked. Comply with sanitation/safety standards within Food services and ensure all personnel follow safety/sanitation standards. Ensure the correct and timely set up of all event order functions. Transport materials to and from the service area, following all health and safety qualifications for food and serving ware.
