Business Relationship Manager (Technology)

  • Reporting to the Senior Business Relationship Manager

  • Based in our offices in Maidenhead with 3/2 flexible working options.

Objectives

To provide a strategic interface for our Commercial and Medical teams as a trusted technology partner for enabling multi-channel engagement activities through enterprise platform solutions including Veeva and web-based technologies.

Through engaging with local, regional, and above country teams, be able to understand, influence and help shape deliverables that meet local business needs, considering end to end solutions and multi stakeholder engagements where relevant.

As part of the UK BTS team and extended Brand Team, work cross functionality to plan, manage and compliantly deliver technology solutions within the affiliate. This will include engagement with external partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the technology partner for UK Commercial and Medical teams in alignment with above country technology solutions.

  • Continually seek opportunities to leverage technologies & solutions pertinent to the business and available from BTS such as collaboration tools.

  • Understand and analyse business needs – leading and shaping innovation and collaboration sessions – bringing fresh thinking from a technology perspective through impactful solutions that deliver business value.

  • Overall single point of contact for business project delivery with focus on longer term benefits and consideration of operational practicalities operating with an enterprise mindset throughout

  • Build a close, collaborative working relationship with both Regional and above country product teams.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable AbbVie policies and procedures (Affiliate and above country)

  • Actively participate in the UK BTS team and contribute outside of functional area, taking ownership for cross functional activities as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience preferred with pharmaceutical, FMCG and consulting companies with demonstrated expertise in the areas of commercial excellence, relationship and project management and technology solutions.

  • Strong independent decision-making, organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.

  • Strong process/project management, communication skills, and adherence to deadlines.

  • Able to confidently navigate a complex, matrix organisation.

  • Problem solver/critical business thinker, natural communicator able to engage across the business, and at all levels of the organisation.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems like Veeva is useful.

  • Operates with an enterprise perspective, putting overall AbbVie before individual or functional interests.

  • Influences colleagues to achieve cross-functional alignment.

  • Knows the business and actively contributes to deliver results.

  • Makes timely, high-quality decisions with less than perfect information.
