The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts Specialist to join Abbott.

This position works out of our Maidenhead location in the Nutrition Division.

As the Senior Contracts Specialist, you’ll provide comprehensive analysis, and implementation support to field-based Contracts Managers (based nationwide) covering tender submissions.

What You’ll Do

  • You will be responsible for tender submissions and work closely with Ongoing Contract Specialist team.

  • Support the field-based Contract Managers regarding.

  • Producing and finalising tender reports

  • Conducting preliminary analysis of reports

  • Owning the Contract expiry process/Wholesale rebates

  • Attend customer meetings, when required.

  • Compile tender submissions including.

  • Project manage process.

  • Pre-Purchase questionnaires

  • Pricing schedules

  • Supporting evidence

  • Completing complex specifications and summary documents

  • Post submission review and feedback reports

  • Updating key documents

  • Supervisory Responsibilities; To mentor and support the Contract Specialists

Required Qualifications/ Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent in Math’s and English

  • Advanced level use of e-mail systems, ideally Microsoft Office

  • Advanced level use of Power point, Word Microsoft Applications and Excel

  • Experience of using SAP

  • Highly professional with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload and timelines

  • Strong planning skills

  • Ability to assimilate and complete complex documentation and collate appropriate supplementary information

  • Strong attention to detail with a view to producing high quality work which will be reviewed by customers

  • Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal (vital in knowing what to ask and of whom)
