Oracle Applications Developer 3 in MAKATI, Philippines

Job Description

Analyze, design develop, fix and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

Responsibilities

Member of the global Campus Solutions development team, you will focus primarily on creating solutions to known issues within the product. Responsible for analyzing, understanding, and ultimately creating a solution that will become part of the CS product line. Will have to make sound problem solving practices, and for creating and completing a robust series of unit tests to ensure that additions to the product are functionally and technically sound. As a senior applications developer, you will be expected to participate in code, design, and unit test reviews. Can offer mentorship to other developers, and to understand larger architectural imperatives of the product and ensure that these are upheld.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent problem solving skills.

  • Good business analysis and deep technical skills.

  • A minimum of 5 years of software development experience with validated development and programming skills.

  • Strong programming skills built upon a College/University Degree

  • Can do well within in a collaborative environment. Experience in working as part of an external/internal global teams or as an individual contributor as the need arises by priorities.

  • Strong communications skills: including good English both verbally and in written form. - Ability to adapt technical skills to new programming languages.

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge and skill in applying SQL and RDBMS concepts.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft programming languages, and other PeopleTools technologies.

  • Experience in COBOL development is an added plus but not required.

  • Experience in Campus Solution - Campus Community or Student Records modules is welcome.
