About This Role:\
The Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health (FNDH), within
the College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a
9-month Teaching Assistant Professor with expertise in public health
nutrition to join their team. This position will teach and develop
curricula for undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and
participate in academic governance responsibilities. This non-tenure
track position will report directly to the Department Head.\

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teach on-campus and online undergraduate and graduate courses
related to public health nutrition
- Design and update course curricula to align with industry standards
and advancements in public health nutrition
- Serve as major advisor and committee member for graduate students
- Collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects,
fostering a culture of academic excellence
- Establish partnerships with organizations in the local community,
public health agencies, and stakeholders to address local and
regional nutrient-related public health issues
- Stay current with trends and developments in public health nutrition
through continuous professional development and participation in
relevant conferences and workshops
- Provide service to the program, department, college, and university
- Other duties as assigned

This 9-month position at the rank of teaching assistant professor has
a negotiable starting date of Spring, Summer, or Fall 2024, with a
competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.\

sensory analysis to discover, disseminate, and apply knowledge to
promote improved food choices and nutritional status, prevent and
rehabilitate injuries, understand consumer preferences and behaviors,
and enhance the well-being of people via food and physical activity.\

The College of Health and Human Sciences is home to six academic
departments (Applied Human Sciences; Food, Nutrition, Dietetics &
Health; Hospitality Management; Interior Design & Fashion Studies;
Personal Financial Planning; and Kinesiology), the Center on Aging,
