Job Summary
A skilled Python ML/OCR/AI Developer with expertise in a range of technologies, libraries and packages including TensorFlow, Pillow, Flask, NumPy, Gunicorn, Pandas, Pdf2image, Computer Vision/Image Processing, Jupyter notebook, and Jupyter lab.
As a Python ML/OCR/AI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions to address complex business problems. You will work with cross-functional teams to create ML/AI models and applications that improve business processes and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
AI/ML Model Development:
Develop, train, and optimize machine learning models using TensorFlow and NumPy.
Implement computer vision applications using Pillow and pdf2image for image processing.
Data Preprocessing and Analysis:
Clean and preprocess data using Pandas to prepare it for model training.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to gain insights and inform modeling decisions.
Flask Application Development:
Create RESTful APIs and web applications using Flask to deploy AI/ML models.
Develop interactive dashboards for data visualization and model results.
Deployment and Scaling:
Deploy AI/ML models and Flask applications using Gunicorn for efficient production deployment.
Implement containerization using technologies like Docker for easy scaling and deployment.
Model Evaluation and Maintenance:
Evaluate model performance and implement necessary improvements.
Continuously monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring they stay up-to-date and accurate.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
Communicate technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Documentation:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Proven experience in Python development, particularly in ML/OCR applications.
At least 3 years’ experience in Machine Learning and Python Development, looking for someone doing the role now
Image processing & Computer vision, Jupiter Labs and Jupiter Notebook experience

Knowledge of containerization and deployment technologies, such as Docker (containers, docker-compose, etc) and Kubernetes, required.
Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including model training, evaluation, and deployment.
Experience with RESTful API development and web applications.
Knowledge of containerization and deployment technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and present findings.
Some exposure cloud technologies and CI/CD.
Has experience with working with major projects, migrations, architectural design, and process improvements.
Willing to work on flexible mid to night shift
Experience in resolving security/compatibility/end-of-life (EOL) issues with Python and its related technologies, libraries and packages via code changes, upgrades or migrations, preferred
Experience in developing test cases/test suites/unit tests for Python, ML/OCR and its related technologies, libraries and packages, preferred
Experience with version control tools like Git/GitHub, preferred
