As a Machinist, you will set-up, adjust and operate Multiple Spindle Automatic Screw Machines on a variety of parts, involving machining techniques such as setting attachments, turning, threading, recessing, boring, thread rolling, forming, shaving, and reaming.
Set-up adjust and operate Multiple Spindle Automatic Screw Machines
Work from blueprints, operations sheets or specifications on selecting cutting tools, gears and cams
Check set-up using a variety of precision measuring instruments
Make necessary adjustments to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain
Check parts produced with a variety of precision measuring instruments, and maintain tool and machine adjustments and sharpen and reset tools as required
Troubleshoot problems
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 3-5 years of setting up and operating CNC or Multiple Spindle Screw Machines
Ability to read blue prints and operations sheets
Ability to run multiple machines at the same time
Good math and reading skills
Be able to use standard tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers
Troubleshooting skills
Promote positive teamwork
Basic computer skills
