Position Summary

The Facilities Technician III assists the Director of Facilities in the maintenance of the Teleflex facilities in Maple Grove, MN. This position will perform typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility as well as complete prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required. The position will properly document repair activities as required by GMP and OSHA. The technician must be able to supervise/direct projects from planning to completion.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance of facility equipment.

• Address facility improvement and repair requests in a timely manner.

• Assist with construction projects and directing service contractors.

• Conduct facility safety and cleanliness inspections, conducting safety training for new hires, and responding to safety/emergency situations.

• Complete and document all facilities tasks per required GMP’s.

• Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects.

• Assist with security related tasks including programming and issuing ID badges.

• Respond to and resolve after hour and weekend emergency issues as requested.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required – Technical degree preferred

• 4 years of related experience required with a degree

• 6 years of related experience required without a degree

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of common facility equipment maintenance.

• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

• Advanced blueprints and schematics skills.

• Ability to develop and manage projects using appropriate project management skills and techniques.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Good computer skills required including MS Office.

• Basic electronic CAD software skills preferred.

• Access to reliable, on-demand transportation to perform duties at multiple sites during work hours and after hours/weekends
