Casual, comfortable dress code and inclusive company culture Job Description: Work closely in Operations with members of the Materials Management team (planning specifically, but will work closely with purchasing, logistics and business process & analytics as well) to develop and implement focused supply chain strategies that support business growth and profitability objectives. Intern responsibilities may include support for continuous improvement programs, streamlining daily processes, improving signals or flow to the production floor, or analytical projects and database improvements. Primary Responsibilities: Primary projects depend on which functional team member you are assigned to on the planning team, but may also include mirroring real time day to day activities of cross functional teams listed below: Planning: assist in tasks regarding the initiatives around maintaining successful core metrics. Logistics: identify warehouse optimization strategies to implement change where possible. Business process & analytics: help with creation and launch of a new tool to be used by the materials management team. Identify and contribute to value improvement projects (VIP). Become proficient at SAP, Rapid Response and perhaps other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. A presentation to management will be delivered halfway through and at the conclusion of the internship. Requirements: A rising Junior or Senior working towards a bachelor's degree in supply chain management. Coursework in Business, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Logistics. A minimum 3.2 GPA. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Organized and able to consistently deliver on deadlines. Strong analytical skills and ability to organize complex data. Leadership experience, extracurricular activities and/or volunteer work a plus.
