Boston Scientific Senior Quality Engineer in Maple Grove, Minnesota

About the role: The Senior Quality Engineer will be a key member of the Nitinol Shape Memory WATCHMAN team supporting key projects for improved process control, and higher production capacity. This role will partner with the representatives from R&D, Design Assurance, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production. The person in this role will take the lead in addressing quality issues in a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interfacing with downstream internal customers and providing quality leadership to a production team running across four shifts. Your responsibilities include: Identifies and implements effective process control systems to support the development, qualification, and manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements Supports culture of continuous improvement by driving enhancements to existing process controls Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best-in-class Quality Engineering practices Leads the implementation of process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements Leads the risk assessment of new/updated equipment and corresponding action using Fault Tree Analysis Applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues Actively engages production teams across all shifts to develop solutions leading to improved outgoing quality Provides leadership role on championing departmental or cross-functional engineering initiatives Provides project direction, coaching, and mentoring for engineering and technical team personnel Acts as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices Assures the development and execution of streamlined business systems which effectively identify and resolve quality issues Participates in team decision making and displays team problem solving/communication skills What we're looking for: Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience Experience owning cross functional improvement and/or corrective action projects Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, etc.) Self-starter with proven ability to successfully work with minimal supervision Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner with high attention to detail Preferred Qualifications 4 year Engineering degree Demonstrated project management success 2 years minimum experience in the medical device, biotechnology or other highly regulated industry 4 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment Requisition ID:583492 As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
