Overview

M Health Fairview is looking for a Radiology Aide at Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists deliver services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. St. John's offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients We have outpatient access seven days a week.

The Radiology Aide works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

Schedule : This is a .6FTE (48 hours worked per two weeks) position. The work schedule is on the day/evening/night shift and will include every other weekend.

Benefits : This position is eligible for SEIU benefits.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

  • Assists the radiologic technologist and radiologist with procedures to facilitate patient flow.

  • Provides appropriate patient safety measures to ensure delivery of quality patient care.

  • Develops films to ensure maintenance of patient flow.

  • Prepares room set-up to ensure availability of procedural needs.

  • Transports patients to maintain patient flow.

  • Assembles and files radiology jackets to ensure timely examination processing.

  • Maintains supply inventory to ensure availability of required items.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Computer Skills: Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.).

  • Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co- workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.

Preferred:

  • Radiology student
