Responsibilities Preventive maintenance: Perform regular inspections, servicing, and testing of machines Troubleshooting: Identify and fix the cause of machine breakdowns Repair: Disassemble and repair or replace broken parts Installation: Install new machines and equipment Safety: Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations Documentation: Record and report maintenance work Inventory: Maintain equipment parts and supplies Training: Train production workers on routine maintenance Communication: Collaborate with managers and engineers on new products and modifications Skills and equipment Knowledge of technical manuals and equipment controls Ability to use power and hand tools Understanding of basic physics theories Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Ability to work in non-ideal environments Knowledge of safe work practices Ideal candidate - must be experienced with machinery maintenance.
