Your Role and Responsibilities
This position resides in Markham and Ottawa, ON and is a 12 month work term commencing in September 2024. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term.
Role & Responsibilities:
Perform data capture & analysis to draw conclusions on user behavior & identify patterns,
Design & distribute surveys to capture user feedback,
Apply critical thinking to spot & address anomalies,
Propose innovative solutions that enhance the overall user experience of IBM Technology Zone,
Perform duties as assigned by the User Experience Lead
Who You Are:
A team player who is self-directed and can also work independently with minimal supervision,
Have a passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand technical concepts and assimilate different points of view,
Possess strong active listening & communication skills to effectively articulate and represent users' requirements,
Extremely organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines,
Have adept problem-solving skills with ability to overcome obstacles & address problems in need of solutions,
Have a basic understanding of UI Design principles and processes.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong ability to perform independent research,
Knowledge or experience building user journey maps to visualize users experience,
Experience generating insights from data,
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite,
Knowledge of design thinking methodologies.
Must be eligible to work 12 months starting in September
