Description
Robert Half is seeking a Hands-on Engineering Manager for a client in the Greater Boston area. You will play a key role in driving their engineering processes and guide the direction of their engineering department. Your role will require you to work closely with their team of six engineers, assisting in sprint planning and working directly with senior staff in the product space.
Your responsibilities will include guiding and mentoring junior developers, while also involving yourself in the development process using their tech stack: Typescript, Vue3, MongoDB, MySQL.
While this role is primarily remote, candidates must be able to commute to Marlborough, MA twice a month for team meetings and strategy sessions.
Responsibilities:
Plan and supervise engineering sprints.
Guide the direction of the engineering department.
Work closely with senior product staff to align engineering processes with product goals.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Contribute to hands-on development using Typescript, Vue3, MongoDB, MySQL.
Oversee and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience in Typescript and Javascript is a must.
Familiarity with Vue 3, MongoDB and MySQL.
Proven experience in mentoring junior developers.
Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
Ability to commute to Marlborough, MA twice a month.
