The Enterprise Project Document Controller is responsible for overseeing project documentation across multiple global projects, ensuring adherence to internal and external procedures, performing quality checks, and coordinating with both customers and internal teams. Additionally, they manage documents through the electronic document management system (eDMS) and assist in updating document control procedures and training materials.
This position reports to the Manager, Enterprise Solutions PMO and is part of the Enterprise Solutions Organization located in Marlborough, MA and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
Lead and oversee the document control team, ensuring efficient transmittal processing, compliance with contractual obligations, and alignment with customer and project expectations.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize document control workflows, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous process improvements.
Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), company policies, and industry regulations by conducting quality checks and enforcing best practices.
Serve as the eDMS administrator, ensuring system security, accessibility, user training (internal and external), and ongoing enhancements to support project needs.
Facilitate communication by leading meetings with Project Leaders/Teams, addressing challenges, tracking overdue actions, and providing regular status reports.
Mentor, train, and develop document control staff while updating procedures, training materials, templates, and tools to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in a scientific discipline
Prefer 5+ years of document control experience in Project Engineering, Design, Commissioning & Qualification, preferably in the Life Sciences/Bio Medical industry.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
High attention to detail, able to manage heavy workloads and follow document control procedures and tools accurately.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and PDF software’s
Self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks, work in a dynamic environment, and collaborate effectively with teams.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Familiar with electronic document management systems (eDMS) and tools (SharePoint, Box, Veeva, Smartsheet, etc.)

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
