The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with a
multidisciplinary team to take care of the mental, emotional, or
behavioral disorders of Health Center Patients Provide evidence-based
evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients including prescribing
medications and/or other psychotherapeutic interventions Develop
treatment plans, measure progress against the plans, and make
adjustments as needed Provide crisis intervention as needed Complete all
necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, nurses, social workers,
to assess and adjust treatment plans Coordinate and communicate with
case managers, family members and other stakeholders regarding treatment
and care Participate in the teaching of students and other trainees
Participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement
programs Qualifications Certified APRN with a clinical specialty in
Psychiatry. All levels of experience considered as well as a desire to
work with underserved populations in a multi-disciplinary setting .
